You will be combining layers and ADJUSTING THE OPACITY of the IMPORTED layer to achieve overlay effects.
5 points for BOTH OPACITY pictures below, you may use internet images.
1) In the FIRST ONE, you will be using the lasso to cutout a PERSON and add them to a photograph. Using the OPACITY to 'dim down' the layer, they will become a 'GHOST-LIKE' apparition in the scene they are added to.
THINK of a creative way to do this before you hunt for random people/scenes... A figure holding flowers in a graveyard, for instance, might be more chilling than a see-thru Beyonce at the MTV music awards.
2) In the SECOND ONE, you will be overlaying 'something' onto a background - STAY AWAY FROM using figures and don't just do a second GHOSTLY FIGURE... Think about an overlay that makes visual sense. Think about SCALE.
!!!POST ALL ORIGINAL SOURCE IMAGES THAT YOU USE TO MAKE YOUR OVERLAYS!!!
Some things to think about-
What would you overlay above a city skyline?
What would make sense if it was overlayed in the water of a lake, like a reflection?
What would fit nicely when overlayed with a field of flowers? Or in the petals of a single flower?
What happens when you overlay a TEXTURE behind a FACE? Brick? Lightning? Diamonds? How does it affect the FACE? Does the facial expression matter?
GET ARTISTIC!!!
